What is CertTEFL?
CertTEFL is a Level 4 Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language. It is designed to provide candidates with the skills they need for teaching English to adult students of other languages.

EDI is one of the UK’s top five awarding bodies. As a leading international awarding body EDI delivers LCCI International qualifications (LCCI IQ) through a network of over 4000 registered centres in more than 120 countries worldwide. Can anyone enrol?
Candidates must possess the qualifications required for entry to higher education in the UK (NQF level 3) or their own country. Non-mothertongue candidates must possess an English language qualification at CEF level C1 or equivalent. Candidates without a language certification will be asked to take a test to assess their level.
How long is the course?
120 Hours - This figure includes direct contact hours as well as other time when candidates' work is being supervised by the course teachers. Candidates are also expected to complete an appropriate amount of self directed study. This self directed study may include background reading, written assignments and other “homework” assignments set by the centre. Candidates must also complete 6 hours of observed and assessed teaching practice and 4 hours of teaching observation.
